Black and Green Tablescape

Before I share with you my Fall decor I wanted to share with you one final tablescape of the Summer that has so gracefully past us by, and along with that the addition of three new mirrors hung above the buffet. So without much ado let's ponder a final tablescape for Summer of black and green.

"The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August, and here and there a yellow leaf
shows itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one season too many."

Autumn Splendor

I can't help myself.Really. As the air in the south slowly cools I feel the need to decorate for Autumn!
So grab another cup of that pumpkin spice coffee or latte and sit back and enjoy my Autumn splendor tablescape.

I like to start decorating with the tables and let the rest of the house follow. Like finding the perfect dress then adding just the right pair of shoes to complete the ensemble!

Therefore I start with the table centerpiece and work my way out, and everything evolves from that point. If I get the table right then the rest comes easily.

Nothing says Autumn to me, like pumpkins, the leaves changing colors, and all shades of green. I made sure all those elements were included in my newest tablescape.

Pumpkins are the main element of this tablescape, the small ceramic pumpkin could simply hold a place card for a formal event.

The salad plates continue the pumpkin motif and incorporate the color green(that I love). A recent purchase from William Sonoma, during their Labor day sale when they were marked 30% off. I love sales!

One of my favorite memories as a child would have to be gathering around the dinner table with family and friends at my grandmother's house. A tradition I like to continue as often as I can in this fast paced world.

What is your favorite childhood memory, does it include gathering around the table and sharing humble meals prepare by your grandmother like me?

Thanks for stopping by and visiting, hope to show you the other table soon, and I can't wait to see how everyone else transforms their home for Fall.
P.S. Mr. SB and I picked out a paint color this evening and I will share it with you soon.

Home Tour Continued....

Today I'm sitting in my office in the middle of Fall madness...that's code for I have all the decorations out of the attic and piled up in the floor of my office/junk room waiting to be inspired by Fall fairies!
So before Fall madness strikes and we all see pumpkins in our sleep, I thought I would take you on a tour of my master bedroom and bath.

I love green and I know I've said it before, but really I do. Green reminds me of golf courses, Southern lawns and English gardens. So welcome to my English garden bedroom as I like to refer to it

See that chair, I really like to sit there and drink coffee and read blogs, I get a lot of light from the many windows, and the older I get the more windows I need to sit beside(my vision is not so good)!

Catherine and Heathcliff what a great love affair. Mr. SB and I met in high school and have been together for 23 years, now that's some kind of love affair. I found this quote on Esty and knew instantly that it would be perfect for the area over the bed.

I really really like this chair it's from Pottery Barn I replaced the cushion with another (green one) that I found at Pier One.

This is my master bath room. I know ladies that bath tub looks large and it has all kinds of fancy jets and spray nozzles but guess what; Deuce my Yorkie gets to use it way more than I do;(

Deuce likes to take his bath by candle light.

On the opposite wall I have a bombe chest where I keep extra towels and essentials.

I purchased this large metal piece for visual interest we have rather high ceilings in our master bath

Notice the other end is bare. I think it needs something however I did not want to do a repeat.
I am currently on the hunt for a hanging light fixture for the center of the room. We are also interviewing a painter for a couple of areas around the house as much as I love gray I would like to see this bathroom another color....Hmmm.

Thanks for stopping by I am going back to my Fall madness now.  I have another project from my mudroom that I want to share with you later this week.
