A Holly Jolly Christmas

It's official:
Christmas is only days away and I hope everyone has completed their shopping and not to mention their decorating!

I must admit I still have one gift to buy and the decorating could go on till next year….

With that being said let's take a look at the living room decor

Even the lanterns have been embellished for the season

Cute print framed thanks to The Graphics Fairy and another Mark Roberts Fairy

The sofa table is adored with pom-pom garland and apothecary jars filled with ornaments

Sentimental ornaments grace the tree, each year my husband and I purchase a new ornament. This one is from last year.

The tree is eclectic with red and green ornaments some new some old some big and some small...

 some even have words.

The house is all decorated from top to bottom

with all the colors of the holiday

so let me say, Thank you and Merry Christmas

from A Southern Blossom

and let me also say how much I have enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people thru blogging for the past six months and look forward to the upcoming year

Merry Christmas

Christmas in the Kitchen

Come on in, and let me show you around the kitchen.
We'll start with the table and make our way around the kitchen.

Snowman plates are part of the Jolly Holiday Collection from Pier One and rest on a stack of everyday white plates, I dressed them up with square lime green chargers and a red placemats

as you can tell the color scheme is red, green, and white all the traditional Christmas colors

ornaments are even hanging from the light fixture...

Sorry for the poor pictures, we have been under cloudy skies for several days, and you may notice some pictures were taken in the evening as well….I was trying.

Pom-pom garland nestled among the holiday figures adds a touch of whimsy to the table.

The snowman figure is a salt shaker from the Fitz and Floyd collection; a gift I received from my son last Christmas.

The red spiral stemware adds a festive touch to the holiday tablescape

as do the red napkin rings.

I have been collecting Mark Roberts figures for a few years and the cooking elf was my first, he is very special since Mr. SB purchased him for me.

In this corner of the kitchen I have a beverage station along with a Fitz and Floyd cookie jar.

On the other corner I created a little fun space with a few more snowmen figures.
Yes, I know I have not shown you my whole kitchen, but you see…. I have dark cabinets and in a blog world full of beautiful white and sage green cabinets…..
Well you know.

Okay, I will show you this one picture looking from the  dinning room into the kitchen and nook area, and as you can see this picture still has the reality brochures on displayand no green paint on the walls.
That's a lot of brown wood!

But hey we love it for now and Ms. H loves it too!
Merry Christmas Y'all!

A Christmas Welcome

Welcome to Christmas at A Southern Blossom.
Today I want to share with you the Christmas decor for the entryways.

The front entry sets the mood with a playful theme, because as much as I love classic decor I always feel the need to be playful with my decor...

like the Ho! Ho! Ho! sign I purchased from a local shop,

and what could be more fun than a oversized picture of Santa.

don't tell anyone, but I also hung mistletoe over the entrance to the dinning room….

The back entry was decorated with a small tree. The theme here was snowmen ornaments, colorful ribbon and polka dots….Nothing says fun like a polka dot.

Cute little sign nestled in the tree

and some Polka dot ornaments...

I didn't want to forget about the laundry room door so I made a wreath for it too!

And lastly I leave you with a snap shot of my family room tree….and yes it has a fun theme too!

Thanks for visiting
